ARCHIVEBOMBAY BICYCLE CLUBOriginally the ‘BBC’ had opened a brasserie style restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine and served the local area through a number of home delivery outlets. Following a buy out of the chain the plan was to open a number of further, strategically located, restaurants each with a satellite home delivery network. Generator were asked to create the brand identity for the chain which culminated in the design of a range of home delivery packaging, menus and shop fascias featuring original Victorian etchings, bright colours and a logotype inspired by the post marks of the British Raj. Also, with the high quality of the food offered, we named the home delivery outlets 'kitchens' rather than takeaways – it had a nicer ring to it! The logo itself was a re-work of the existing etching and was commissioned specifically for the job.
